Smokin Pistol

Smokin Pistol has been dedicated to breeding since 2014. Our kennel is located just 25 minutes West of Corpus Christi, Texas. Our dogs are raised in a home environment with daily exposure to children of all ages, as well as life on our small homestead.

We focus on producing healthy, well-socialized dogs with sound temperaments that make excellent companions. All breeding stock is health tested for PLL, SCA, DM, LOA, and NNA through the University of Missouri.

Jack Russell Terriers have been central to my life for over 30 years. Through Thistle Ridge, I focus on preserving the true working terrier with an emphasis on intelligence, versatility, sound temperament, and real-world working ability.

Terriers are bred for a variety of working and active homes, including earth work, tracking wounded game, falconry, detection work, hunting companions, and active family homes. Puppies are raised in a hands-on environment with extensive early socialization, exposure, and engagement from an early age. My daily life and work revolve around dogs – training, working, and living with Jack Russells full-time. I am very active in the JRTCA through volunteering my time with the club and judging for trials all over the country.
